Sigiriya Rock
The Lion's Rock - one of the most important urban buildings of the first century.
It lies on a magmablock of an eroded volcano, and rises about 200 meters into the sky. The massive rock has adventurous steps to climb, fascinating irrigation systems & gardens as well as the world famous frescoes "Cloud Maidons". Even the entrance between two giant lion paws promises a majestic encounter with ancient Ceylon.

Dambulla cave temple
The cave temples of Dambulla are in a more then 100 m high rock massif and consists of five cave temple which have been built in the 1st century BC. In the largest and at the same time most magnificent cave are 150 life size Buddha statues. The largest Buddha status is 14-meter in a tiny cave. In all the caves numerous frescoes from the 15th and 18th centuries and ancient stone engravings can be found. The square in front of the caves is offering a breathtaking view over the surrounding landscape and Sigiriya rock.

Kandy Toothtemple
The Tooth temple is one of the holiest sites in Kandy and all of Sri Lanka. It holds a eyetooth Buddha's which is highly worhshiped and once year take out for Perahera, a festival with decorated elephants. German or English speaking guide can be booked for the visit.
Then you visit the Royal Botanical Garden in Peradany about 5.5 km to the west of Kandy. It is renowned for its collection of orchids. The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees.
